Art Extraordinaire is a highlight of the South West arts calendar and the gala opening night is a highly anticipated social event.
Serving as both a platform for local artists to show and sell their artworks, as well as a school-based fundraiser, the Art Extraordinaire promotes professional peer connections and wellbeing among students and the community.
Bunbury Catholic College encourages students to find their passion and to engage in related activities, whether that is in art, music, literature or sport. Taking the time to use your talents and do what you love can increase overall wellbeing.
Through the Art Extraordinaire, the College actively celebrates diversity and individual talents. Over the years, 41 in fact, the exhibition proceeds have gone towards additional resources and spaces for students to connect with their peers and engage in art, music, literature and sport.
The proceeds of this year’s Art Extraordinaire will continue to help fund the Teen Mental Health First Aid program and the Resilience Project being delivered to every student at Bunbury Catholic College. These programs encourage an inclusive school community which celebrates diversity and encourages respect and care for all.
