Bunbury Catholic College
Bunbury Catholic College is a learning community in the Marist tradition empowering students to achieve their personal best and become confident and compassionate young adults.
As we prepare to celebrate the College’s 50th year this year, we continue to value the place of the arts in a well-rounded education that prepares our students for their lifelong journey.
Celebrating 40 years of Art Extraordinaire
During its lifetime, Art Extraordinaire has become a well-known art exhibition and auction and has helped to increase awareness of the visual arts across the South West.
Art Extraordinaire is Bunbury Catholic College’s major fundraising event and will be held for the 40th time this year.
The event provides an opportunity to promote peer connections and wellbeing amongst students and the wider community, and has proven enduringly popular with well-known Western Australian artists who relish the opportunity to join the exhibition.
This year, in addition to an auction and exhibition, there will be online art sales. Making the artworks available through online sales will allow us to reach a broader audience and provide a backup sales opportunity if COVID-19 restrictions are in play.
The Committee
The Art Extraordinaire Committee is an entirely volunteer group, comprised of people from the Bunbury Catholic College Parents & Friends. Each committee member brings a skill set which can be applied to the planning, preparation and execution of this significant fundraising event. New volunteers are always welcome.
