Yelland, Jill

Born in Perth, W.A. studied graphic design and printmaking before 'discovering' glass in 2003. The colours, textures and forms of the Western Australian Outback and Mining themes inspire her work. Each piece created 'tells a story' of that location, evoking memories for each viewer. Her work is in collections both in Australia and Internationally.

Jill has worked with many of the world's renowned glass artists in Germany, the USA and across Australia to develop different glass-making techniques such as displayed here, kiln-carved glass, crackle- technique and Pate de Verre (powdered glass). Her work is much sought after for corporate gifts and awards.
