Whitham, Lesley

Lesley Anne Whitham was born in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1982, she graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and migrated to Australia in 1991. Lesley uses a variety of hand-building techniques to form her ceramic sculptures. The narrative in her work reflects personal life events. Lesley draws on the experience of migration and raising a family to create her pieces. Lesley has won awards for her sculptures and drawings, has had several solo exhibitions and sells her work through galleries Australia-wide and in Singapore.
