Gray, Melanie

Melanie has worked as a paper installation artist creating large scale artworks folding origami. She has always been fascinated with the geometry when you unfold origami cranes. Her recent works have explored this, driven by the parallels seen on the journey of her own self discovery. Life begins as a blank canvas. We strive to fold, contort and mold ourselves until we achieve what we perceive as perfection. However, when we arrive we discover there is more to explore. Unfolding, we pull back the layers, carrying experience and wisdom, we craft an ever evolving, new beautiful version of ourselves.
