Julie is an established self-taught artist who has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. She has a love of traditional visuals and ability toture those images in artistic formats.
Her chosen media is mainly pastel in a range of subjects. More recently Julie has taken to working in acrylic and oils, as well as dabbling in watercolour, charcoal and graphite. She finds all these a challenge on all the different surfaces but rewarding experience.
Over the years, Julie's subject material has varied and has included Still Life, Landscapes, Seascapes, Portraiture, Animals, and a particular love of trees in landscape. As is frequently the case in country towns, she found herself painting local historical buildings and displaying then in local stores and art outlets. A number of happy clients from many areas have her images hanging their walls.
Julie has lived in many parts of Australia and explains: "Over the years I have been a member of various art groups in towns where I have lived including Wynyard Tasmania, Rockingham, Kalgoorlie, Cue, Dunsborough, and Mandurah, Western Australia. In all these locations I successfully exhibited, displayed and my artwork."
