Tessa Birch is a Nyul Nyul/Nimamburr woman from Beagle Bay, in the Kimberley. Her family connections span right across the Kimberley, from the fresh water to the salt water. Her artworks draw inspiration from this country of red Pindan, freshwater springs, mangrove creeks and the blue ocean. Tessa's art tells stories that have been passed down to her. It is a personal expression of growing up on her country. Her works are contemporary and incorporates Aboriginal art styles.
